It has become quite hard to decide what you want to do with your life because of all these different jobs and career options.

Furthermore, the society in which we live expects us to make decisions about our future paths at a very young age. We are never allowed to investigate ourselves to discover our true purpose. Before we could do for ourselves, they bombarded us with what we should do and not do in our career. We never follow life’s purpose.

As a result, when you become an adult, you have no clue where you are going in your life. If you don’t know why you are here? Then it is necessary to know, and you should know that. Life without meaning feels worthless. And you have no reason to get up each morning.

It is obligatory to find out the meaning of your life is and follow life’s purpose. When people don’t ask and discover it, they go to their graves with their greatness still in them. The time has come that you must begin to look at what things you can do that would put you on some firm footing in life.

That will enable you to do some things by using the power you have that many of us go through life without discovering that we have those things going for us.

By knowing how your life works? What is it that gives your life a sense of meaning? When you know what you want to show up in your life, you put yourself in your power place.

How to find and follow life’s purpose?

There is a tried-and-true formula for happiness that has been around for hundreds of years. Japanese have created a philosophy named Ikigai, which stands for the reason for being.

Ikigai can help you to determine what it is that you want to wake up to each morning to do.

You know that thing for which you can pour your heart and soul into it. When doing something and immersed in your activity so much that nothing else matters, you are in a state of flow.

Ikigai will assist you in gathering the components necessary to enter this flow state and make your pursuit both liveable and beneficial to the world.

You know, many of us are doing a job which we hate to do. Maybe because we do not know what we should do? And where to go? And when we do this, the misery that we associate with these activities often creeps upon us.

When we do not follow life’s purpose. Then on each Sunday evening, we start thinking about this distressing Monday morning. And it brings us to the next thought that you have to drag yourself out of bed to spend the next week in hell.

When you arrive at your workplace, you still experience this nostalgia for the weekend. Immediately as you begin with your task, you start a countdown for the first break and then the next and next. Until you finally go home again and repeat the process.

Is that an enjoyable way to lead your life? Consider this: when you do something, you despise it. You are doing wrong to yourself and those around you. When you do this, you become miserable because such a job can lead to serious health problems like depression.

Some people even go far as killing themselves because they can not take this feeling of uselessness, hopelessness and they end up with the idea that they have failed in their life. Because they never follow life’s purpose.

But the truth is, you have a certain level of control over your circumstances. What you can do is change your job and make it more enjoyable. Alternatively, you can reassess your own and your surrounding nature.

The change you need to make is twofold. On the one hand, you need to change your mindset. On the other hand, you need to change your circumstances. Because when you can do the right thing with the right mindset, you can enter a state of flow.

Ikigai helps to identify the right things to do for every individual. So that person can get out of bed in the morning with a sense of purpose. Able to work with almost no effort.

Ikigai consists of four dimensions:

Firstly, what do you love doing?

Secondly, what are you good at?

Thirdly, what does the world need?

And lastly, what can you get paid for?

What are five reasons that you should follow your life purpose?

1. Reason to get out of bed every morning

How do you feel when your morning alarms go off? Does that excite you to start your day? Or do you not feel like getting up? If the answer is yes, my alarms energize me, and I am excited about starting my day, then you are most likely living your true purpose.

And if the answer is no, that means you are probably living your life in guilt. And when you are not happy with waking up because your job makes you feel sick of going. That means you’re not living your gift or purpose and aren’t doing what you should be doing.

Persons who live or follow life’s purpose feel excited about starting their morning that burns within their hearts. They get up early in the morning and go to bed after completing their daily goals because their mission or purpose keeps them excited all day.

It is crucial to pay attention that you made this your pattern of not getting up and feeling excited in the morning. But once you start living your purpose and discovering your passion, you can’t wait to get out of bed in the morning.

Because now you have reasons for waking up, you have design and plans in your mind. Your gift is easy to know, and you do not need to go anywhere to discover it.

It is not something you find in the material world, but it is something you discover within. Each one of us on this earth is gifted at something.

But the problem is you are spinning around your gift to be what somebody else is gifted at. Identify your gift because you already have it.

SteveHarvey says the way to identify your gift is to discover the thing that you do absolute best with the least amount of effort is your gift. Maybe you are good at frying chicken, baking, the management, or something unique which this world has yet to discover.

You have probably heard of Marie Callender’s, which now has over 120 locations. But how did she get started?

This woman was a single mother, and she was working for a greasy spoon diner. that business was about to shut down.

Because she needed the job, she approached the owner of the dinner. Inquire with the owner if I can make a pie for the store because people enjoy my pies. And maybe I can help you to make some money.

The owner said OK, bring whatever you can. She bought one pie, and they sold every slice of it. The next day, people came and asked for the pie.

She went home and made another pie. And the next day, so many people asked for the pie that she had to make four pies. Then people started asking if they could buy their pie.

She made so many pies at this store that she eventually saved money. Set up a commercial oven in the house.

All she had done was bake so many pies, and the shop owner no longer sold hamburgers. All he sells are those pies. That is how Marie Callender got started.

Marie Callender, you know what, she started with a pie and never looked back.

Your gift will create a room for you once you discover it. Quit running away from your gift and stop trying to be something you are not gifted at.

You need to dust off your dreams and explore the imagination to identify your gift. And follow life’s purpose so that you can live your life with excitement every day and quit tripping in your life.

2. Life feels on track

There comes a time when you feel depressed or often feel out of track even though you are doing what you also want to do. That could be your job, career, any position, or something that you always wanted to be.

Still, happiness is not coming from within. You always feel something is missing. And you keep hearing your intuition that something is wrong.

That mostly happens when we humans lose touch with our purpose and the meaning of our existence. When you are not living your best life, you are more likely to focus on what is wrong with the world. Less focus on what is good in the world, and you do not understand where to look forward.

It is impossible to feel fear about anything when you have a compelling future. A mission or vision in front of you keeps you excited every day.

When there is meaning attached to your future, it’s hard to drudge through life, and you follow life’s purpose.

3. Loaded with hope and passion

You can not go through life in the dark when you believe your future is bright. The problem is that you somewhere believe that the future could not be better than your past because of your past failures.

As you fail many times in life, you no longer believe in your abilities. But no matter what you do in your life, you will fail on the way to success.

When you are living your goal, it is much easier to pick yourself up, learn from your mistakes, and make the next correct move.

Without meaning, you will probably give up on life. And you can not give up on your best life if you have a future vision attached to it.

4. Live with a compelling future

If you are living without any future vision, then you are not living your life to the fullest. Like every moment should feel like a blessing and ready to give whatever it takes to fulfill your vision.

Your vision keeps you loaded with hope and passion about what is coming in the future when you follow life’s purpose.

You live your happiest and most fulfilled life. Who does not want a compelling future? Everyone needs it. And if you believe that because of your bad experience, your future can not be good. Then you do not even get up out of bed each morning.

But when you have a vision, your past does not define your future because you take it as new learning.

You trust the process and enjoy the ups and downs of your goals. And not only that, you live a life full of magic, miracles, and growth.

Thus, you will get out of bed every day with eagerness to attack your day, your goal, and to fully live this day to add to your purpose.

5. Give meaning to life

Viktor Frankl said that everything can be taken from a man, but one thing is the last of the human freedoms to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s way.

Viktor Frankl is a survivor of four Nazi concentration camps. It goes with the saying that Frankl must have gone through many horrifying and insufferable things during his time in the concentration camps. Besides all that, he never gave up on his greatest power.

The power to choose, what meaning to give to each situation. And the power to control his mind. It is impossible to believe how anyone could find meaning during such a situation, but Viktor Frankl did find the meaning.

Many of us are suffering from a lack of meaning in life. And when we feel a lack of meaning and purpose in our lives, we feel dead inside. Often, we are dying inside simply because we lack meaning and a fascinating future.

It is impossible to live an unhappy life when you are bursting with your purpose and meaning. The purpose that drives you to someone you are doing for. Something to look forward to because that is when we feel alive.

How do you know you found your purpose?

You can learn more about this from various sources. But answers from an expert will always give you a better understanding. One of them is Caroline Myss. She is a five-time New York bestselling author.

The internationally renowned speaker on spirituality, human consciousness, and other topics. A phenomenally gifted intuitive with the ability to see into people’s bodies and souls.

In one of Oprah Winfrey’s shows called OWN, Caroline Myss was invited and where Oprah asked Caroline Myss, one question was:

How do you know when you are on the right path and what dreams belong to you? Or what jobs belong to you?

And Caroline Myss answers it this way:

How do you know you are on the right path? Here is your clue. You are not placed in a position to betray yourself and you don’t betray yourself anymore.

You are not placed in a position where you feel like you have to negotiate your sense of honesty, which is an act of betrayal. You don’t feel like you have to compromise who you are and it feels right.

You know because you don’t feel like this isn’t costing you your power. This isn’t costing you your psyche. This isn’t costing you your soul. This isn’t costing your sense.

You don’t feel confused on some deep level. You are not drained; you can be tired after a day’s work, but you are not psychically drained. Where you feel like you are losing your life because you are betraying yourself in some way.
